PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. - Tiger Woods said he has no injury to his left leg at The Players Championship and is expected to play at the US Open next month.
Woods has only nine holes week last to The Players - his ever - shorter tournament when he withdrew because of what he describes as a reaction chain of pain from her left knee left Achilles and the crunch in his calf. He shot 42 on the front nine.
On its website Monday, Woods has said that he irritated the knee and Achilles without making them worse. He said doctors advised rest, treatment of cold water and the treatment of soft tissue, which, he says, he was already receiving.
"Aggravating my injury is very disappointing," said Woods. "I will do all that is needed to play at the US Open, and I hope that I can be there to compete."

Sickened by my left leg I was on the sidelines, but I want and expect to be at the US Open. Will do everything in my power to do so.
US Open is from 16 to 19 June in Congress, a course that Woods won in 2009 AT & T national.
He did not say how long it would take to recover.
Its Web site said it is doubtful to play in the Memorial tournament, which begins June 2, while trying to strengthen his leg. He said playing before the US Open would be a decision "week by week", although Woods has never played the week before the US Open and never played the St. Jude Classic in Memphis, Tennessee.
Woods reported a slight sprain of the medial collateral ligament and a strain soft his Achille hitting a shot off the coast of the straw from pine under the Eisenhower tree on hole 17 of the masters in the third round. He played the final and shot 67.
He did not practice until The Players Monday and has not played any golf until his practice rounds. Woods considered fine during the towers of 9 holes, he played the week last and swing coach that Sean Foley said that he was pleasantly surprised to see the Woods to look as if he had lost much when he had played in the masters last.
Woods said that he himself wounded on the tee opening shot at Sawgrass.
"The knee has acted and then the Achille followed by the suite, and then the calf started cramping," Woods said after he retired. "It all started getting tight, is just a whole chain reaction.".
If he plays at the Congress, there probably will have played nine holes of competition between the Masters and US Open.
Minutes before the statement was posted on its Web site, Woods said on Twitter, "sickened that my left leg has me on the sidelines, but I want and expect to be at the US Open." Will do everything in my power to do so. ?
It would not be the first time Woods has played the US Open with so little competition.
When he won his last major at the US Open 2008, he had not played a tournament in two months because of arthroscopic surgery on his left knee immediately after the Masters. Later, doctors discovered his left leg stress fractures. Woods wound up winning at Torrey Pines in a 19 playoff holes hole.
