Familiar?
The world series champions are still at it.
Ross hit a game-ending RBI single in the ninth round, Lincecum pitching another gem, and the San Francisco Giants beat 1-0 Arizona Diamondbacks Tuesday night for their fourth consecutive victory.
"I don't feel that great yet, but this feeling as the play-off with the pitching formula, said Ross, the Championship NL MVP series." Torture once again, I guess. ?
At least until the end.
Line-drive single Ross to the bottom of the base line of the third off the coast of David Hernandez (2-1) marked pinch-runner Darren Ford of second, sending the Giants sink their last third victory celebration pond y in four games. Ross has also resulted in all three assists in a 3-0 win over the Rockies Sunday which limited San Francisco for first three-game series sweep this season.
Lincecum struck out nine and took a hitter in the sixth in another start dominant for the two-time winner of the Cy Young NL trophy, giving San Francisco consecutive shutouts and spoil a stellar by Diamondbacks starter Ian Kennedy output. It was also the first time Arizona was held without a goal this season.
Brian Wilson (3-1) launched a score no ninth for the victory.
"We have this fire type enter these past sleeves, knowing that anything can happen," said Lincecum. "And things like this is, and it seems to happen to us a little."
Buster Posey led off the coast of the ninth with a four-pitch walk. He was lifted for Ford, who stole second as easily as catcher Miguel Montero did not even challenge with a jet.
Hernandez joined by striking out Aubrey Huff before Ross sent a line drive past diving baseball Melvin Mora for another victory of end handle drama that becomes too often once again. The Giants were walking five victories already this year.
"Who was that the history of my season until this is walking guys, especially a guys," said Hernandez. "Finally, it will return and you, and today was one of these days."
During most of the game, however, it was duel a pitcher.
The first hard hit ball of the night was not yet effective when Chris Young has missed a home run by mere inches, in the fifth when he scorched a fastball Lincecum that barely cleared the left-field wall and failed in a striking way of the foul pole. Instead, Young reason later off-field centre.
Let the most unlikely candidate finally snap streak of Lincecum.
Kennedy sent a groundball until the middle of a single cleanliness with a spell in the sixth for his first hit of the season, snapping a skid to 0-for-13 at the plate. Melvin Johnson has added a single line-drive on the left with two outs before Justin Upton leaking to the right.
At a time when the No.-hitters are becoming commonplace, the feat has escaped San Francisco ace.
Lincecum took twice a hitter in the seventh, including the earlier this year in Colorado. In this output on April 18, Carlos Gonzalez pointed with a spell in the seventh before the Giants held a 8-1 victory.
"It is so difficult to do." It's going to happen in his career, "said giant Manager Bruce Bochy."
His counterpart was not quite as dominant but equally effective.
