Rangers could obtain Hamilton, Cruz back Monday

Philadelphia - It seems that two Texas Rangers sluggers will return in the list of persons disabled Monday.

If all goes well with their final rehab start Sunday to Round Rock, the probable Rangers will play reigning AL MVP Josh Hamilton and Nelson Cruz in Monday night's game against the Chicago White Sox.

"If they make it out there in good health, and everything is going well now, they will return to Texas," Rangers Manager Ron Washington said Sunday morning before game 3 of the series with the Philadelphia Phillies.

Richard Durrett and ESPNDallas.com team have the inside scoop on the Rangers, the American League and Major League Baseball.

In two games, Cruz is 4-for-8 with two home runs and Hamilton is 2-for-7 with a circuit and a double. The two players hit Saturday night.

The Rangers are 14-21 UNMIS Hamilton and 7-9 with Cruz out of range.

Hamilton has been on the DL since April 13 after having a bone in his right shoulder while sliding head first into the House in Detroit on April 12. He had to miss at least two months, but its progress went smoother than expected. On the season, Hamilton is frapper.333 with seven RBI but has yet to strike.

Cruz strained a muscle right quad on May 3 at Seattle and was placed on the DL a few days later. Despite seven and 18 RBI, Cruz is just 0,275 and Rangers wanted to ensure that it has passed down his calendar back to the Court of the great.

The Rangers should be two shots of list to accommodate them.

Craig Gentry, Chris Davis, Taylor Teagarden and Endy Chavez are possible candidates get removed from the list of big league.

Washington likes to have three sensors, but it is open to possibly lose Teagarden. Chavez, after a slow, is start came on the high de.533 of late, hitting on this seven-game road trip. But he is hampered by a right thigh strain the last three days. Gentry started the final seven games in Center field and has reached base in five of its last six games.

Davis, who has not played in the loss of the Saturday night at the Phillies struck Thursday night in his first start of the career batting place cleaning.
