JUPITER, Fla. - a minor league in the Class-A Florida State League game lasted 23 rounds Monday night before Jupiter sharks finally beat 2-1 Clearwater threshers.
With one out in the bottom of the 23rd, Jose Duarte singled home Jaime Ortiz, the winner of the race to end after 5 hours, 37 minutes. Ortiz had cleared off the coast of losing pitcher friend Justin, which came to start the 23rd.
Clearwater is an affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, while Jupiter is a Florida Marlins farm team.
