Kobe not to mention the Lakers despite a 3-0 deficit

 Kobe Bryant knows the deal. His Los Angeles Lakers are down 0-3 to the Dallas Mavericks and none of the 98 NBA teams to this deficit have never come back to win a series.

However, Bryant also knows that his team has won the last two Championships and reached the final of three consecutive years. And that his soon-to-be-retired coach has won a record 11 Championships and has never been swept in his 20 years on the secondary.

Bryant also realizes that his team is close to leading to this series 2-1. They blew a lead of 16 points in the first game losing only in the last seconds, and Friday night they collapsed on the stretch on the way to a 98-92 loss.

So, with all that in mind, he made this statement after the defeat in game 3: "I think that we are still going to win the series."

Trust, huh? Well, he prefaced this line in laughing and saying, "I might be sick in the head or the fool".

The Lakers have mostly themselves to blame in this difficult situation. Leading by seven with 5: 05 left, and after having controlled the game throughout the second half, they have neglected the defence. They gave Dirk Nowitzki, Jason Terry and Peja Stojakovic opened fire, and that turned things around in haste.

A fence of 20-7 run jump-started by 3 s of Stojakovic and Nowitzki put the Mavericks to not only win this series, but pulling off a sweep. Dallas can move to the final of the Western Conference for the first time since 2006 with a victory at home Sunday.

"We are not quite good to relax or take the pedal off the coast of the metal," said Nowitzki. "You do not ever want to give a champion life, hope that we can the same effort and the same crowd and a great game Sunday.

The Mavericks recorded 32 points in the fourth quarter, most by each team period in this series. Bryant said the Lakers have contributed to make "some of the more stupid defensive errors." that I have seen make us throughout the year

"We are disappointed," said Lakers coach Phil Jackson, who has never been down 0-3 in a series, much less been swept, in 20 years as an NBA Coach. "We want games 1 and 3 we controlled the rhythm of the games." They were better at the finish of the games that we were. "But we believe still we will win the next game and we will go from there."

Nowitzki and the Mavericks want to cross with as soon as possible.
