Homer Hamilton of the Rangers first start rehab

The fielder Texas Rangers Josh Hamilton, the 2010 AL MVP, has started a League assignment minor rehab for Frisco to Wednesday evening.

Hamilton hit and had an infield single in the game. Was not a homer in his 11 games this season with the Rangers, but he hit an opposite-field shot, two-run left as the Frisco designated hitter in the third round for the victory of 8-7 on Midland. Hamilton ended the night for 4-2 with a grounding and a launcher in its other at - bats.

"My first y (a grounding), I was a little nervous." "I was a little nervous because I have not touched on so long," said Hamilton. "I am in my second y, I got out in front of a two-seamer far a little.". I always got through the ball, do not remove. ?

He said his time was OK-"I am pleased that that is where it is, it could have been worse," he - said, and that he had no problems with his wounded arm. "."

"I felt more in my lower back and foot to stand studs for four hours," said Hamilton. "I have been running bases in spikes for some time, but just standing around is difficult."

Hamilton, who went to the right of the list of persons with disabilities after he suffered from a fracture of capillaries, in a bone in his arms on April 12 was supposed to play in Frisco as the new designated hitter Thursday. It will then be at the head of 2007 Round Rock to continue his rehab for three additional games.

For the next five games, Yes, I want to be careful to get back,"Hamilton said Wednesday before the practice stick to Frisco. "If I get first, I will not get much of a lead." I won't be diving back, and I am not any stolen goals. ?

Hamilton returned the club travel Tuesday evening and had a CT scan on his upper arm and shoulder. It was examined by the doctor of Rangers Dr. Keith Meister and the scan showed "significant healing", according to the release of the club.

"It is a little extra comfort for the CT scan today and that he healed good pretty place", said Hamilton before stretching and taking practice batting Wednesday. "I am ready to go." I was looking forward to the ILO for a period of two weeks and now I get to get a little action game and hopefully work on my schedule and get back fast enough. ?

Hamilton was injured trying to score with a head the first slide in the House. The slugger made a daring dash plaque discovered on a coarse popout after being informed to go to third-base coach Dave Anderson.

After initially calling the piece "stupid" and by saying that he ran because he said to, Hamilton later met with Anderson and publicly tried to clarify what he meant - that he was disappointed talks wound - and that he did not blame coach for wounding.

"I do hate the way I am wounded me." "I could have been more intelligent and not missing, but I appreciate Dave confidence in my ability to make," Hamilton reaffirmed Wednesday. "Could I slid feet first? Yes, but I would not have done it. ?

When Hamilton was wounded, said Rangers would be six to eight weeks and would not swing a bat for about a month.

Hamilton has resumed taking batting practice with the Rangers Friday, a month and a day after a casualty. The Rangers game Tuesday will be six weeks after the injury.

"Frustration is offshore at times do more than you", he said. "Now I call it willingness to go there."

Hamilton said that, while it was difficult to sit in the dugout and not be able to help his team on the ground, he found a way to treat them and to focus on recovery.

"I hate to say, but I learned because I was injured quite some time I cannot rush anything and that I cannot do what be injured," Hamilton said. "" "". But I can do something with a good attitude and be favourable to my teammates, to being in the pond and their listening and follow their morale. This is exactly what I did. ?

Hamilton was in the stick 333 with seven points in 11 matches at the time of his injury and had a sequence of eight consecutive hitting.

Hamilton is in the same range with Nelson Cruz, who has been with Frisco since Monday the rehab for a strained right quadriceps muscle.

Cruz, who was in the area Wednesday night after two games as a DH, could join the Rangers this weekend in Philadelphia. He went to 4-0 Wednesday in the third game to Frisco in his rehab for a strained right quadriceps muscle.
