Former Reds COO John Allen to help the Dodgers

The Cincinnati Reds former chief operating officer John Allen will help Tom Schieffer to watch the Los Angeles Dodgers of major League Baseball.

Allen was hired Monday and replaces the former Padres of San Diego and the Pittsburgh Pirates Executive Dick Freeman. Freeman was chosen last week deleted the day even after the year that it was discovered that he was a consultant paid last of the ex-wife of the owner of the Dodgers, Frank McCourt.

Allen became controller of the Reds in 1995 and Executive Director a year later. He was Chief of operations between 1999 and 2007. He presided over the construction of Great American Ball Park, which opened in 2003.

In 1996, he was owner for 60 days when margin Schott was suspended for the second time for inflammatory comments.
