CASE sets hearing for Contador 3 days for doping

 Alberto Contador doping case will be heard for three days the month next to the Court of arbitration for Sport.

CASE Cancel June 6-8 Friday to hear appeals by the International Cycling Union and the World Anti-Doping Agency against the three times champion of the France Tower and the Spanish cycling Federation.


The Court said it aims to deliver a verdict at the end of June, allowing Contador defend his if exempt travel.


The UCI and WADA challenge acquittal of Contador on accusations of doping by the Spanish authorities in February.

A court has accepted the defence of the Contador eating contaminated beef caused his positive for Clenbuterol test when he led in the last week of the tour in July.


Contador can continue until the verdict and currently riding leads the three weeks of the Tour of Italy.


If the case of the rules against Contador, he faces a ban of two years, being stripped of his third Tour victory and losing all of its results and a prize money earned since February, when the UCI has lifted his provisional suspension.


The appeal will be heard behind doors closed to the seat of the Court in Lausanne.

The court appointed Israeli lawyer Efraim Ehud Barak to the Presidency of the Commission, while the legal team of the Contador chose Ulrich Haas the Germany and the UCI and WADA selected Quentin Byrne-Sutton, of the Switzerland.


The Group of experts will probably a decision in two weeks and a detailed verdict later.


The France Tower of 2011 begins July 2.
