CHICAGO - Freddy Adu is to get a second chance.

The former phenom has been chosen for roster U.S. for Gold Cup next month, Monday the first time in nearly two years, it's been included in the plans of coach Bob Bradley. ADU V. play in the second division of the Turkey since January.

Qualifications Freddy is a player that, in the past, showed us Bradley. "It is not always add enough yet with the full team, but he seems to be a good opportunity to return to him with us when we have a good month together and challenge him, and we hope continued to grow and mature.".

The Americans begin Thursday from reporting to the training camp in Cary, N.C. They have an exhibition on June 4 in Foxborough, mass., against the cup of the world, champion Spain, followed by the Gold Cup, the Championship of North, Central America and the Caribbean.

The Americans open play group June 7 in Detroit against the Canada. They play Panama on June 11 in Tampa, Florida and close the first round against Guadeloupe on 14 June in Kansas City, kan

"Thanx everyone for the congratulations.". Happy to be part of the American team again, "Adu said on Twitter."

Adu, who turns 22 on June 2, burst on the scene of U.S. soccer at the 2003 FIFA under-17 World Championships. He scored three goals against South Korea, and a game winner against Sierra Leone in the tournament, where Arsenal star Cesc Fabregas was elected MVP.

The teenager created a still greater than November splash when it signed an agreement with DC United - who he deplaned on "Late Show of David Letterman." MLS debut in April 2004 has been given treatment showcase on ABC, and he played the final 29 minutes, becoming the youngest player on a team major pro of the United States in over 115 years.

He received his first invitation to a training camp for the national team in January 2006. Later this month, age of 16 became the youngest player in the history of the American national team, when he came a substitute against the Canada.

"At various times, he showed some soccer capabilities which are special," said Bradley. "It has not always been able to count in different situations, at different levels."

In fact, Adu is fallen so far, so fast that it has become a story inspiring for young exceptional talent.

Freddy has dropped a little scene. In General, playing in the second division in Turkey will bring you in the scene. We never thought of (his) history was over.

"-Coach U.S. Bob Bradley"

A few weeks after that Adu scored three goals against the Poland, 2007-20 World Cup Benfica paid 2 million for his transfer to MLS. But the coach that he signed was dismissed after two games and Adu made only two starts this season. He has been loaned to the following July in Monaco, where he played 110 minutes - throughout the season.

ADU scored his first goal for the American team on November 19, 2008, a victory 2-0 at the Guatemala in the World Cup playoffs and added his second following July against Grenada in the Gold Cup. It was his last game with the American team, and he was removed from the World Cup last year.

He bounced between clubs on the Portugal and the Greece and a handful of tests with other European before be loaned to V. in late January teams.

Although Bradley was held tabs on Adu - that he watched game of playoffs V. Monday on the computer - he acknowledged selection of Adu was probably the biggest surprise of the 23-man list. Given the importance of the Gold Cup, Bradley stuck with most of the veterans who were part of last year during the World Cup team of adding goes-and-venus Juan Agudelo, Tim Ream and Eric Lichaj.

"Freddy has dropped the scene a little." In General, playing in the second division in Turkey will bring you in the scene, "said Bradley. "We never thought of (his) history was over.". Now we will find out where he enrolled for now. ?

ADU is regular game time and scored three goals for V.. But Bradley said that a combination of factors persuaded him to take another look on the Adu, including what he hopes is a maturity that could have been missing in recent years.

"We respect the fact that he made this approach to go to a smaller club because he had to show people that he was prepared to do everything what to give," said Bradley. "We are eager to see how he is handling things, maturity, a way that tells us that his experiences and how which were measured and he understands that it needs to move along."If it is with a club or national team team. ?
