Indians of Cleveland call up RHP Alex White 2007 Columbus to start

CLEVELAND - Alex White made his debut in major League for the Cleveland Indians, Columbus called getting the height-based against Detroit.


The was the first round of the club in 2009 draft and starts Saturday instead of Carlos Carrasco. He went on the list of people with disabilities this week with a strained elbow.


White's 1-0 with a 1.90 ERA in four starts with Christophe Colomb. He had 28 struck in 23 2/3 sleeve.


Manager Manny Acta said stay White will depend on recovery Carrasco and how well white locations against the Tigers.


White was in 15th place, two years after starring in North Carolina. He was named top of the Organization's minor league pitcher last season.


The Indians an analgesic option Frank Herrmann to Columbus to make room for a white.
